LG display on thursday said that it has developed the word thinnest full HD, LCD display for smartphones measuring just 2.2mm thick.
The fast growing technology producer LG said its new 5.2inch(132mm) display panel has a resolution of 1,080 by 1,920 pixels and
it is brighter than the current Full HD phone panel in market. LG has not reveal when the panel will become available in the market,but showed images of it working and said its result had been independently verified by the testing firm Intertek. LG display said the screen's bezel is a fraction thicker at 2.3mm. The company said it has used a new in-house technology it calls"ADVANCE ONE-GLASS-SOLUTION." one-glass-solution technology or OGS, put the touch screen layer of display directly onto the underside of the cover glass, combining the two.
